The Bill of Rights 4th Grade Project
It is your job to understand the Bill of Rights. You will prove your understand of these amendment by creating a booklet explaining each one using 4th grade language. In addition to a written explanation, a pictorial interpretation of each one’s meaning must be included.
Steps to follow:
1. Write each amendment as it is actually written. A copy is in our textbook or online.
2. Translate in handwritten form each amendment into 4th grade language that is easily understood. Remember that a nine or ten year old should be able to understand what you mean. Use “real world” examples to make it more clear.
3. Artistically interpret or illustrate the main idea or one of the main points of each amendment. You may even illustrate all the main points. Think of how children’s books do this. Do not use computer generated images or actual photos for this part. All work must be hand drawn.
